Hello everyone!
It has been a year since I first started blogging, both in Malay and English. I'm creating another blog now , especially for my students,to be included in my daily teaching. I want to share the joy of blogging with my students. To give them opportunity to express themselves and to have real audience to read their writing. To allow them to have as much practice as they can to use the language rather than merely learning 'about' the language. I realize that some of them may make a lot of mistakes and some may be excellent, but I want them to be confident. I want them to be an independent learner.
To my dear students,
I know that it's going to be very challenging to let yourself/ your writings be exposed for everyone throughout the world to read. You will find that it's going to be a wonderful journey of self discovery as well as meeting other interesting people all around the world. For me, I even found my very good friend whom I've not met for 16 years.
There are so much more that you can discover. I will only spoil the fun if I reveal everything to you now. Besides writing in your own blog, I hope you will leave comments in my blog and your friends' blogs as well.
Just remember ,I want you to write fully in English. Write full words, not in SMS form. Save that for your mobile phone.

hi madam shima,first of all i just want to thank you so much because i think that you teach us with your creative way,actually i hate writting an essay,because i have lack of idea to elaborate something and always have any careless mistake especially in spelling,but with you, i feel so much fun because i can create my own blog which i never done it before,and it is so easy to write because our blog is our electronic journal that representing all about us...secondly,i am so sorry because today i forgot to bring my text book,i am in hurry just now ,and can`t rememember to bring it..hehehe...

Thank you very much for teaching me to create my own blog. I’m very gladful for your helping and enjoyed writng my own blog. From my reading, you have many experience in teaching English. So, I really glad have teacher like you. Actually, my background school is different where I have been enrolled to Sekolah Men. Agama(Arab) Kluang . At there, they used bahasa arab as main language. Lastly, the student included me not present well in English paper specially in PMR. At form 4, I change my mind and enrolled to Sek. Men. Sultan Abdul Jalil which I get class of science stream. At there, I have been exposed to the new environment which English is main language. From that day, my English be better and get improved. But my friend who still scholling at Sek. Men. Agama (Arab) Kluang get problem in English. Until now, she really don’t want to go to the language center to improved her English. I feel so sad and pity about her. Before I registered to Uitm, I met my father’s friend who yelled to my mother that his daughter’s result was worst especially English paper. Nowadays, my father’s friend worried about fate of his daughter in working world. So, English played main role in society. Whatever it is I want to thank to you because teaching me write this blog and I can enjoyed do it it because I really like to writing essay. So, have a nice day for you…………….
